Historic Modern Kitchen

This project is the update of a historic home in downtown traverse city. The kitchen in this home was tucked away between a pantry, staircase and mud room. We created a new circulation pattern that brought the kitchen into the house by re-routing the mud room through a new porch off the back of the house. The original pantry cabinetry was saved and reused in the mudroom. The kitchen features a large square island, grand range and surround, and walk-in pantry. The dining room which is now just off the kitchen was given a new china cabinet and buffet with bar.
